Around 5100 or so, towards the end of the Middle Neolithic, the classical AVK descended into a complex of pronounced local groups called the Szakálhát-Esztár-Bükk,[8][16] which flourished about 5260-4880:

  • The Szakálhát group was located on the lower and middle Tisza and the Körös Rivers, taking the place of the previous Körös culture. Its pottery went on with the painted white bands and incised edge.
  • The Esztár group to the north featured pottery with bands painted in dark paint.
  • The Szilmeg group was located in the foothills of the Bükk Mountains.
  • The Tiszadob group was located in the Sajó Valley.
  • The Bükk group was located in the mountains.

Sardegna Sardinia

The  domus de janas  are witness to the antiquity of the Sardinian civilization and the exuberance of a culture that has always lived in close contact with the territory.

The popular imagination has always wanted to answer carved stone structures scattered throughout the territory of Sardinia , forming legends that continue to fascinate. These structures have been inhabited by supernatural creatures: the "khans". According to different versions of legends, Janas become delicate and subtle ugly fairies or witches come out of hiding, "the domus de janas" , the houses of the fairies, just overnight.

Besides the charm of an old story, archeology tells another histora. Domus Janas, in fact, have been identified as extraordianarios examples of the underground burial of pre - nuragic civilization. Dating from the culture of Ozieri to Beaker and is thought to be built around  3400 e il 2700 BC . The walls of these artificial caves are often decorated with symbolic and magical reliefs, red ocher.

Throughout the Sardinian territory have been  more than 1,000 domus de Janas . A large concentration of them a true and proper necropolis, is the site of  Anghelu Ruju , near Alghero . Is caracteriadas di 36 tombs with reliefs shaped bull 's head. Another important center is the  Sant'Andrea Piru , near  Bonorva . There we find the so - called 'Tomba del capo': a domus 18 ahabitaciones, during a Roman and Byzantine occupation transforms into church.

Other examples of domus de janas found in other Sardinian towns:  Pimentel ,  Villaperuccio ,  Ittiri ,  Sedini  and  Porto Torres .
