Banks, Cooperative Banks & Credit Unions (US oriented)

federal law caps credit unions’ business lending at 12.25 percent of total assets. As any given credit union approaches that limit, it’s likely to become choosier about the business loans it makes.
Apparently Banks can loan at 20:1 or 2000% of current assets. A Bank can lend roughly 200 times more money than a credit union.
